I have finally created my self-portrait.  I am holding my dog Max(x).

The first image is the rough draft.  I then recreated the little character in Illustrator.  The second image is the final product.

I am in the process of creating rougher, rather freer, odd looking characters.  This is one of many to follow.

Meet Maxx

My characters come into existence from various sources, including individuals in my life. Maxx The Pug, the constant sidekick of my main character Zedie, is one such example. Here is the 'real' Max, my constant companion and inspiration.

The Newest Tear Sheet - "The Bus Ride"

I promised to post my most recent tear sheet.  This one shows a little different character than my usual.  He is on a bus ride.  This is set up to read like a cartoon strip.
